Hours: 40 Hours (Opportunity for overtime)

Pay Range: $24-29 Depending on experience.

Join our team! As a diesel mechanic, you will perform engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs on large commercial vehicles. Responsibilities include thorough preventive maintenance, roadside and emergency repairs, and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough, accurate preventive maintenance inspections.
• Complete scheduled maintenance such as lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation.
• Perform unscheduled maintenance as directed by the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.
• Conduct engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs and field tests, interpreting technical materials.
• Provide emergency roadside services as needed.
• Inspect equipment, diagnose defects, and document repairs accurately.
• Maintain tools and work areas in a neat, safe condition.
• Perform other duties as required, including on-call, extended hours, or weekend work, and occasional vehicle driving for road tests.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as a diesel mechanic or mechanic preferred.
• Accreditation or certification from a recognized program preferred.
• Complete all required training.
• Pre-employment background check required.
