Job summary

Herren Industrial Group in Kentucky is seeking a Diesel Engine Technician to perform maintenance, rebuilding, and repair of heavy duty diesel engines and related systems. You will troubleshoot electronic controls, transmissions, and hydraulic/electrical systems while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to work independently, and a reliable, on-time work ethic. Must have tools up to 1/2 inch drive and be flexible with schedules.

Qualifications

• Diesel engine repair experience: 5+ years preferred, 1 year minimum.
• Strong mechanical skills and reliable work ethic.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must be punctual and able to work independently.
• Flexible with schedules and a detail-oriented mindset.
• Opportunity for welding, torch work, and basic fabrication training.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, rebuilding, and repair of heavy duty diesel engines.
• Repair manual transmissions, electronic engine controls, and hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot general electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain safety and quality standards while on the job.

Job description

We provide hydraulic system and heavy equipment/diesel engine repair services to all of Richmond, surrounding areas, and most of the state.
This is a position that is responsible for, but not limited to, performing general maintenance, rebuilding, and repairing heavy duty diesel engines, manual transmissions, electronic engine controls, general electrical and hydraulic systems troubleshooting.

Requirements

Diesel Engine Repair Experience (5 or more years' experience is preferred but 1 year is required)

Lift up to 50lbs

ability to work independently

be flexible on schedules

be detail and results oriented

MUST be on time

MUST have tools up to a 1/2" Drive
