We are seeking a
Mechanical Technician for our customer, County Materials, located in Janesville, WI.
Starting Wage: $25.00-$35.00/hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Job Duties:- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
- Schedule and perform mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
- Follow safety guidelines and document compliance.
- Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs.
- Engage in steel fabrication and welding as needed.
- Interpret equipment manuals for repairs and servicing.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, meters, and welding equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Obtain quotes and install parts and supplies.
- Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and installation.
- Communicate with dispatch and shop staff to schedule maintenance.
Work Environment:- Indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures.
- Near moving machinery with electrical hazards.
- In a noisy environment.
Physical Requirements:- Sitting, standing, walking, and climbing.
- Lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending.
- Pushing, pulling, reaching overhead.
Experience & Qualifications:- Minimum 2 years in diesel mechanics.
- Proactive, multi-tasking, self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.
- Strong hydraulic, mechanical, welding, and industrial skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a good record.
- DOT Certification preferred.
- Experience with PM and maintenance on forklifts preferred.
