• Hourly Pay: $24.50 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance like oil changes, brake, and tire work
• Two or more years of classroom training and work experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A preferred

This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become an employee, you must:

• Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Vehicle maintenance and repair
• Standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections
• Preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes and perform repairs
• Replace defective components
• Facility maintenance duties
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues
• Use shop management systems and electronic documentation
• Follow safety and compliance guidelines (DOT, MOT, etc.)
• Support operations as needed, including service island duties
