Job summary

Transdev in Hamden, CT is looking for an Auto & Diesel Fleet Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a range of vehicles and equipment. You will ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity of our fleet while following standard procedures.

The role requires 1-2 years of Diesel Mechanic experience, a valid CT license, and ASE certifications with a DOT drug test. The position is on-site with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Valid CT license is required.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
• DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components.
• Assist with road calls and emergency services as necessary.
• Other duties as required.

AUTO & DIESEL FLEET MECHANIC

Transdev in Hamden, CT is seeking a C-Level Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

CBA Position:

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:

• $29.50-$33.00/HR (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
