Swift Transportation Company in Gary, IN is seeking Diesel Mechanics & Technicians to keep a large, top-rated fleet running safely and efficiently. Location at 6500 W Airport Rd offers Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM schedules with competitive hourly pay and overtime opportunities.

You'll receive hands-on OEM training, extensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), paid time off, tuition support, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Diesel maintenance or vehicle repair knowledge preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read repair manuals and maintenance documentation.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Willingness to learn diagnostic software and new technologies.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Complete repairs according to OEM, DOT, and company standards.
• Disassemble and rebuild heavy truck and trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance, repairs, inspections, and failure analysis.
• Accurately complete repair orders and maintenance documentation.

What You'll Do

As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
