Diesel Mechanic position available at both our locations - Fort Collins & Keenesburg.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Experience and Qualifications
  • Diesel engine repair: 3 years
  • Hydraulics: 3 years
  • Driver's License (Required), CDL preferred

Job Responsibilities

This position involves diagnosing mechanical problems, repairing, and rebuilding agricultural/construction equipment on or off-site. Responsibilities include maintaining diesel equipment through inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, adjustments, and record-keeping. The mechanic must ensure safety, health, and environmental standards are met and have their own hand tools.

Essential Duties
  • Conduct periodic inspections of equipment
  • Review daily work orders and correct deficiencies
  • Schedule and oversee major repairs
  • Complete documentation accurately
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Manage inventory of high-use maintenance items
  • Control maintenance costs through warranty and vendor evaluation
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility to drive company vehicles
  • High School Diploma/GED and Diesel Mechanic Certification
  • Experience with heavy equipment, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pump troubleshooting
  • Basic welding skills
  • Knowledge of safety procedures
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Experience working on tractors and in the agricultural/construction industry
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks
Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Requires physical ability to operate equipment, lift up to 100 pounds, and perform duties in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Must wear PPE and work safely around heavy machinery, with exposure to noise, dust, and grease.
