Diesel Mechanic

Shift: Monday thru Friday (approx. 7am to 4pm)

* Perform diagnostics, repairs, maintenance on trucks, trailers, and support vehicles
* Assign jobs to technicians on the floor
* Review work orders for accuracy, including work performed and diagnostics
* Review all estimates to ensure proper cost is correct with backup from estimates and put time limits on all repairs
* Review and provide all purchase orders to payables department and obtain proper signatures for all purchase orders
* Communicate job status to all department managers and directors
* Adhere to manufacturer's warranty policies and procedures
* Investigate and resolve a variety of problems

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:
* Knowledge in safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lift, hoist, and jacking equipment
* Knowledge of vacuum pumps and blowers for specialty equipment
* Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft office
* Must be consistently capable of independently analyzing and safely resolving issues
* Ability to work in fast paced environment
* Ability to work well alone and oversee other employees
* Valid Class A License (preferred)
* Strong written, verbal and telephone skills are a must
