Job summary

ACME Distribution Center in Denver, PA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our skilled team at the Lancaster Distribution Center. The role offers a competitive benefits package and a $3,000 retention bonus possible, with initial hours 06:00–14:30 for two weeks, then a 4-day, 10-hour schedule.

Pay rate is $34.00 per hour, with shift differential and potential bonuses. Must have 2+ years heavy-duty repair experience and valid DOT/CDL, ASE preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy-duty tractor/trailer repair.
• Valid DOT physical card and CDL license may be required.
• Willing to work full-time and any shift.
• ASE Certifications preferred.
• PA State Inspection License a plus.
• 608 & 609 Refrigeration Certification

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Class A Diesel Trucks - Combo.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues
• Assist drivers with equipment failure on the road

What You Will Be Doing

ACME DISTRIBUTION CENTER in Denver, PA, is a division of Albertsons Companies, one of the largest food and drug retailers with 2,300+ stores. The Albertsons Companies family of brands includes some of the most prominent brands in food retailing, with a growing base of loyal shoppers.

We are searching for a Diesel Mechanic to join our skilled team at the ACME Lancaster Distribution Center located in Denver, PA. Positions offer a competitive, comprehensive benefit package, annual tool & boot allowance. $3,000 retention bonus possible!

For a new hire, the first 2 weeks would be Monday-Friday working 06:00 to 14:30.

After 2 weeks -4-day 10-hour schedule. The days would be Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday working 06:00-16:30, 14:00-00:30, or 21:00-07:30.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Class A Diesel Trucks - Combo.


• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues


• Answer driver's telephone request for assistance with equipment failure while out on the road


• Maintain and repair all equipment to include engine, starting and charging, electrical, body, wheels, brakes, suspension, and interior.

What we are searching for

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy duty tractor/trailer repair. May require valid DOT physical card and a CDL driver's license.


• May need certification in the use of refrigerants and recycling equipment


• Ability to work full-time with the ability to work any shift.


• ASE Certifications


• PA State Inspection License a plus.


• 608 & 609 Refrigeration Certification
