Tornado Bus Company and El Expreso Bus Company in Dallas, TX is seeking a Class C Diesel Mechanic. You will perform thorough inspections and repairs on motor coaches, transport buses to external shops, and rescue buses as needed in compliance with FMCSA regulations.

Candidates should have 1-2 years of diesel mechanic experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a CDL. The role includes routine servicing, parts ordering, and maintaining safety standards on-site.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of diesel mechanic experience required.
• CDL license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training beyond high school.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and overhaul of diesel/gas engines.
• Inspect engines and detect malfunctions.
• Order necessary parts as needed for tasks.
• Repair and maintain engine systems (fuel injection, emission controls, timing).
• Diagnose faults with test instruments.
• Rewire ignition, lights, and instrument panels.
• Replace worn parts (pistons, bearings, gears, valves).
• Diagnose and replace faulty components (brakes, wheel-seals, turbos, alternators, starters).
• Follow FMCSA safety regulations.
• Fuel and wash buses when required.
• Move vehicles within property limits after safety training.
• Perform over-the-road service calls with minimal supervision.
• Keep shop clean and organized.
• Other duties as required.

Tornado Bus Company and El Expreso Bus Company is looking for Class C Diesel Mechanics. Responsible for performing thorough inspections and related repair on motor coaches. Transporting buses to external shops. This particular position requires to rescue buses from other locations. Must always be in compliance with FMCSA regulations.

• Routine servicing and overhauling of all diesel or gas engines
• Inspecting the engines and detecting technical malfunctions
• Order Necessary parts as needed for tasks being performed
• Specializing in repairing and maintaining parts of engine, such as fuel injections systems, emission controls systems, and timing systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment and diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments
• Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels.
• Recondition and replace parts, pistons, bearings, gears, and valves
• Diagnose and replace faulty components such a breaks, wheel-seals, turbos, alternators, and starters
• Follow our stipulated standard industry safety regulations and standards of working
• Fuel and wash buses when required
• Move Vehicles within property limits, contingent to safety training
• Perform over the road service calls with little to no supervision
• Maintain the shop clean and organized
• Other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE:

1-2 years of job-related experience required.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training beyond high school

LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS:

CDL required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Heavy - Exerting 60-100 lbs. occasionally, 25-60 lbs. frequently, or up to 10-20 constantly.
