A&R Truck Repair in Cecil-Bishop, PA is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our busy shop. You will diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrain components, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure work meets safety standards.

You should be comfortable using diagnostic tools, work independently when needed, and communicate clearly with the parts manager and team. We value hands-on expertise and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy-Duty Truck Technician.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including Cummins, Detroit, or Caterpillar.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools.
• ASE certification preferred and ongoing self-improvement.

• Communicate effectively with our parts manager and team members on job status.

Requirements:

• Have an open mind and have a good attitude about life.
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy-Duty Truck Technician
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including Cummins, Detroit, or Caterpillar
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools
• ASE certification or equivalent trade school training preferred, and an ongoing attitude to self-improve.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a shop environment, we are here to help you if the day goes sideways.
• Must supply own hand tools, basic set will do.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL class A and a state inspection license is a big plus
