Qualifications

  • 2+ years of mechanical repair experience preferred.
  • Valid CDL Class A preferred, must obtain within 6 months.
  • Experience diagnosing mechanical problems and conducting repairs.

  • Hourly Pay: $26.00 per hour
  • Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter
  • Schedule: Sunday–Thursday
  • Hours: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance
  • Two or more years of related training and experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
  • This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become an employee, you must:
    • Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
    • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check, and motor vehicle check

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct component inspections and repairs
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools
  • Identify root causes and perform repairs
  • Replace defective components
  • Support facility maintenance
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues
  • Utilize shop management and electronic documentation systems
  • Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
  • Support other operational duties as needed
