Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in mechanics, preferably heavy duty diesel.
• Valid driver's license and ability to read safety instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, service, test, and repair locomotive systems with precision.
• Diagnose diesel engine issues and perform repairs per standards.
• Interpret blueprints/schematics and service manuals for tasks.
• Evaluate parts for reuse, repair, or replacement.
• Weld, adjust, and calibrate mechanical components for performance.
• Operate cranes and hand tools safely to support maintenance.
