Job summary

Inland Deicing Services (IDS) is seeking a skilled technician to keep critical airport de-icing equipment online. You will perform mechanical service, troubleshoot electrical/hydraulic faults, and maintain detailed records using our maintenance software. Role requires own tools and travel between IDS stations as needed.

The position is full-time with varying shifts; required are a high school diploma, ability to obtain an airport badge, and strong time management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18.
• Meets federal criteria to obtain an airport badge.
• Own tools: sockets/wrenches up to 1" and up to 1/2" drive; toolbox.
• Strong time management; able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of fluid types and diesel-powered machinery, tools, repair, and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute local maintenance schedules to ensure dependability of the fleet.
• Perform the full scope of skilled mechanical service using recognized procedures.
• Leverage technical documentation (manuals, IPCs, schematics, blueprints) to complete assignments.
• Troubleshoot and close out electrical/hydraulic faults within allotted timeframes.
• Log accurate records; complete scheduled and ad‑hoc inspections via our maintenance software.
