Job summary

TRP Construction Group in Bertram, TX, is seeking an experienced mechanic for our shop-based maintenance team. You will maintain and repair diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, hydraulic systems, small engines, and construction equipment.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical skills, knowledge of electrical diagnostics, and a valid driver’s license. Occasional field work may be required, with training on specialized equipment provided by an experienced staffer.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing diesel and gasoline vehicles, trucks, trailers, hydraulic systems, and construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of electrical diagnostic procedures.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a two-mechanic maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and drivetrain issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Repair small engines and auxiliary equipment.
• Assist with occasional field breakdowns.
• Maintain basic maintenance and repair records.
• Work with operations to keep equipment safe and ready for use.
