The role emphasizes diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, adherence to safety protocols, accurate record-keeping, and clear communication with team members and customers. 2+ years of generator experience is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with commercial Backup Power Generators.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting generator issues.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of generator safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission generators per manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections (oil/filters, fuel system, tests).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues and replace faulty parts.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs (work orders, parts used).
• Ensure safety regulations and provide a safe work environment at all times.
• Work with diesel and natural gas engines and Automatic Transfer Switches.
