You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, and coordinate with drivers and supervisors while maintaining accurate repair records. Day shift, full-time position supporting our truck shop operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a truck mechanic.
• Experience with diesel engines.
• Experience with hydraulic systems.
• Experience with electrical systems.
• Experience with brake systems.
• Experience with preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects in trucks and trailers, including brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in various truck components, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and identify potential hazards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
• Order and manage inventory of necessary parts and supplies.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and drivers regarding the status of repairs and maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations within the shop environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• May be required to perform road calls or emergency repairs as needed.
