Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Sylva, NC is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to maintain light to medium fleet vehicles. Pay ranges from $30.00–$38.00 per hour with weekly pay and full benefits within 30 days. The role runs Monday–Friday from 2:00pm to 10:30pm.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety standards while documenting repairs and supporting fleet operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Diesel & automotive maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must own and maintain personal tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Complete inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
• Document repairs and complete work orders.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Work with supervisors and team members to keep fleets operational.
