Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Technician in Covington, KY. The role focuses on inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance to keep the truck fleet safe and operational.

You will work Mon-Fri, 12:00 PM–10:00 PM, with responsibilities spanning DVIR-based tasks, component replacements, and record-keeping. The ideal candidate has experience using repair manuals, diagrams, and schematics, with strong mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicles.
• In-depth knowledge of truck components and systems is preferred.
• Experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and diesel engines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per maintenance schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Replace components and fluids, inspect electrical, air, and brake systems.
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified and ensure safety devices are functioning.
• Maintain records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
