Job summary

Lignetics, INC. is seeking a skilled Fleet Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on diesel-powered trucks, trailers, and related equipment. The role requires strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work with engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.

The position is full-time with a 6:00 AM–3:30 PM shift, some overtime and occasional weekend work may be required. Competitive hourly compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and services on diesel equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and aftertreatment system issues.
  • Work on engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Use diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools.
  • Complete work orders accurately and document repairs.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure DOT compliance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized shop environment.
  • Respond to road calls and emergency repairs as needed.
  • Communicate status and repair recommendations to supervision.
  • Assist in maintaining parts inventory and shop tools.
