Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of technical coursework in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a diesel/heavy equipment technician is required or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on fleet vehicles and tractor trailers.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and technical defects.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning components and electrical equipment.
• Inspect brakes, steering, transmission, engine and other critical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations.
• Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely and in compliance with regulations.

Education
