Job summary

G&J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician/Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our vehicle fleet. You will perform preventative maintenance, operate PIT equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations. A valid driver's license is required and experience with medium-to-heavy duty trucks is preferred.

The role offers Monday–Friday schedule with competitive pay and union benefits, supporting internal customers and maintaining fleet reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience with medium to heavy duty trucks encouraged.
• Valid driver’s license required; must be insurable to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance repairs on equipment.
• Operates Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
• Complies with safety, DOT regulations, policies, and PPE.
• Communicates with coworkers and supervisors; coordinates with outside shops as needed.
• Transports equipment to outside maintenance shops when required.
• Orders parts and maintains inventory.
• Maintains fleet garage cleanliness and records upkeep.
• Completes annual inspection reports and maintenance paperwork.
