Job summary

Dollar General Fleet is hiring diesel technicians at the Marion, IN distribution center to keep trucks, trailers, and yard tractors in top condition.

Requirements include at least one year on Class A trucks, with duties such as diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and DOT compliance. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package, weekly pay, and the latest technology and equipment.

Qualifications

At least one year of experience working on Class A trucks.
Experience with air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems.
Prior welding and fabrication experience.
Tire repair experience (repair, mounting, dismounting) preferred.
Perform DOT inspections and compliance.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components such as doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment, including routine repairs and repair orders.
Perform maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability on fleet vehicles.
Abide by company policies and safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
Maintain repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers and yard tractors.
Safely operate gauges, forklifts, shunt trucks, torches, grinders, and various hand and power tools.
