Job summary

Dollar General Fleet is currently seeking diesel technicians to ensure trucks, trailers and yard tractors meet federal standards and operate safely. The role includes maintenance, diagnostics and repairs with access to company-provided tools and a comprehensive benefits package.

Earn $20.00 - $27.50 per hour with weekly pay. 1+ year experience preferred, DOT inspections knowledge a plus, and opportunities with the latest technology and equipment.

Qualifications

At least one (1) year of experience working on Class A trucks.
Experience with air brakes, hydraulic & electrical systems.
Prior welding and fabrication experience required.
DOT inspections and compliance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components such as doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment, including repairs and repair orders.
Maintain repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers and yard tractors to maximize safety and reliability.
Operate gauges, forklifts and safety tools in a safe work environment.
Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
