Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on the fleet to keep trucks safe and operational. You will follow maintenance schedules, address DVIRs, and ensure safety devices are in good working order.

Responsibilities include fluid checks, component replacements, and keeping accurate records. The role requires good mechanical aptitude, tool proficiency, and the ability to work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred; GED accepted.
• Experience reading repair manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Experience maintaining heavy trucks and diesel engines preferred.
• Ability to safely drive service vehicles and perform test drives.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles per schedules and DVIRs.
• Perform repairs and component replacements on vehicles and equipment.
• Check and change fluids and filters as required.
• Inspect safety devices and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
• Interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Assist with housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
