Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is hiring a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician in Morehead, KY to inspect, diagnose, and repair our fleet of heavy trucks and diesel engines. You will perform maintenance per schedules, complete DVIRs, and maintain accurate records while working safely in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires attention to detail, basic computer use, and the ability to read repair manuals. You’ll interact with customers and teammates, and may work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience reading repair manuals, diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with heavy trucks, diesel engines and welding preferred.
• Knowledge of Lock/Tag Out procedures or ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per schedules and DVIRs in a safe manner.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform repairs.
• Complete adjustments, repairs, and component replacements to vehicles, equipment, and related components.
• Check, fill, and/or change fluids and filters.
• Inspect, repair, and/or overhaul vehicle support systems such as electrical, air, and brake systems.
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified.
• Ensure all safety devices on vehicles are in good working order.
• Maintain records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Complete yearly DOT inspection forms.
