Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Ashburn, VA is hiring a Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team. The role involves repairing and maintaining a fleet of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks, with CAT equipment exposure.

Expect weekly pay, and full medical, dental, and vision benefits within 30 days. The position requires 5+ years of experience or a earned auto/diesel diploma, valid Driver’s License (Class C), and proficiency with Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and email.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience performing vehicle maintenance or possess auto/diesel diploma.
• Experience servicing CAT equipment, generators, aerials, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment is highly desired.
• ASE Certifications are preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License - Class C.
• Proficient computer skills: Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, Email.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks; fleet includes CAT equipment.
• Service and repair diesel engines, brakes, tires, AC, and PMs.
• Prepare vehicle records manually and on computer.
• Perform safety inspections and document results.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Inspect and service undercarriage areas and access all vehicle areas.
• Move parts to/from job site and install/remove parts.
• Communicate with clients via email and phone.
• Perform other duties as required.
