Job summary

Iowa Select Farms is hiring a Transportation Mechanic in Iowa Falls to service and repair our transportation fleet, equipment, and facilities. The role supports the Transportation Maintenance Supervisor and requires maintaining a safe, clean shop environment.

The ideal candidate will have diesel shop experience, familiarity with Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related farm equipment, plus welding skills. A valid driver's license is required and tools are supplied as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of applied experience in a diesel shop or equivalent education is required.
• Experience with shop mechanic tools is a requirement.
• A valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance/repair on Class 8 trucks, medium and light duty trucks, livestock trailers, tractors, and skid loaders.
• Perform wire welding on aluminum and steel.
• Snow removal of truck and trailer lot.
• Maintain cleanliness of shop and work areas.
• Mechanics provide basic tools; specialty tools are provided by Iowa Select Farms.
• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor and be team-oriented.
