Job summary

Ecowaste Solutions is seeking a Diesel Truck/Trailer Maintenance Mechanic in Tyler, TX. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment, completing accurate work orders with detailed condition, cause, and correction notes, and processing warranty returns as required.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing fleet equipment, conducting failure analysis, maintaining safety standards, and communicating safety concerns to management.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL preferred.
• Experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or a technical school degree/certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with specialty in Diesel.
• Experience in advanced diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly.
• Conduct failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds fleet equipment components correctly.
• Inform management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions and unsafe work practices, and suggests corrective actions.
• Identify and inform management of broken tools and missing supplies required for performing repairs on fleet equipment and takes steps to solve issue if possible.
• Correctly completes complex work orders with proper description of condition, cause and correction, including properly completing a warranty return tag as needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Performed additional duties as assigned.
