Qualifications

  • Certifications: Inspector, Brake, ASE preferred, 609 HVAC.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance within planned timeframes.
  • Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles in compliance with regulations.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs according to manufacturer specifications.

Position: Full-Time, Union with Benefits

Shift: Swing shift, Tuesday-Saturday, 2PM-10:30PM

Starting Pay: $33.90/hour from June 1st

Job Summary

To ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicles by performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to prevent breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve fleet reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance within planned timeframes.
  • Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles and equipment in compliance with regulations.
  • Perform quality repairs to maximize safety and reliability.
  • Address driver-reported issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Document all work performed accurately.
  • Develop proficiency in Sysco computer programs.
  • Perform electrical meter testing and electrical repairs, including welding when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Technical training in Medium/Heavy Duty trucks; high school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of school + 1 year of experience or 3 years of fleet maintenance experience.

Skills & Abilities
  • Proficient with diagnostic software and tools.

  • Understanding of DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform manual tasks.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and manual handling.
  • Work outdoors, in hot/cold conditions, sometimes in confined spaces.
  • Non-traditional hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
