Clean Harbors Charleston, SC is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to join our safety‑driven team. You will be responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance of the company fleet, ensuring compliance with safety and DOT standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• 1+ years experience on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience required.
• Must provide own basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority while following policies and procedures.
• Move company equipment safely around the yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing vehicle issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet.
• Carry out routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
• Complete daily checklists.
• Ensure equipment is properly parked and secured per DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
