Job summary

Loomis is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our Fleet Maintenance team. You will work with a crew to maintain and repair all fleet vehicles, perform preventive maintenance, and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision.

The role reports to the Branch Manager and requires safety compliance and accuracy in work orders. We offer full-time hours, competitive hourly pay, benefits including PTO, health/dental/vision coverage, 401(k), and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in diesel vehicle maintenance; dealership experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license (C or better) and ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Must meet FMCSA 391 qualifications and ensure brake/annual inspections.
• Ability to read technical manuals and write work orders.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair all fleet vehicles and perform preventive maintenance monthly.
• Diagnose mechanical, engine and electrical issues and test drive vehicles as needed.
• Order parts and manage inventory for repairs.
• Drive vehicles for testing, transfers and parts pickup/delivery.
