We are seeking an experienced and skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at SRM Concrete. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and equipment such as trucks, mixers, and other heavy machinery used in the concrete industry. This role is essential for ensuring our fleet operates efficiently, safely, and reliably to meet project demands and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, electrical systems, and hydraulic problems.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major diesel engine components such as heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Coordinate with the operations team to schedule maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed in the workshop and on-site.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Stay updated on diesel engine technology and repair techniques.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the concrete industry or related fields.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment screenings.
