Overview

Firehouse Movers - Christian-Based Company offering Full Service Moving & Storage

Location: Lewisville, TX

Pay: Starting from $19 to $25 per hour (certifications may increase pay)

Hours
  • To Be Determined – Monday to Friday 07:00 – 16:00 with 1 hour lunch; schedule is being evaluated
  • If needed, Saturday or occasional Sunday if volume requires emergency coverage
Job Duties
  • Fleet Management: Oversee & complete inventory and maintenance of trucks, trailers, small engines, and tools; perform regular maintenance tasks; ensure trailers are properly maintained; perform vehicle maintenance to meet DOT standards; conduct minor repairs; maintain fleet cleanliness; perform welding tasks and custom modifications; monitor tire wear and pressure; oversee fuel management; assist in installation and maintenance of vehicle tracking and telematics; maintain repair records and inventory; assist in emergency roadside repairs and coordinate with external service providers.
  • Custom Crate Building: Assist in constructing custom crates using power tools and precise measurements.
  • Documentation, Compliance, and Safety Protocols: Document damages, log repairs, ensure DOT compliance; utilize Geotab devices and telematics; enforce PPE usage and safety equipment; adhere to safety protocols; conduct safety training and audits.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Coordinate with drivers and team members to ensure proper vehicle usage and issue reporting.
  • Preventative Maintenance Program: Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program; schedule regular inspections and maintenance.
  • Vendor and Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with external repair shops, parts suppliers, and equipment vendors; negotiate service contracts; ensure timely procurement of parts and supplies.
  • Budget Management: Manage fleet maintenance budget, track expenses, and optimize costs.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Create and maintain an emergency response plan for fleet breakdowns and accidents.
