ABOUT THE ROLE

As our next Diesel Fitter, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality solutions and results.

Our Curragh North Coal Project is situated 10 km north of Blackwater in the Bowen Basin.

Responsibilities include:

1. Performing servicing, repair, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment according to Thiess systems documentation.
2. Completing general maintenance, breakdown repairs, services, and component change-outs with high standards.
3. Sourcing technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems.
4. Maintaining good housekeeping standards at all times.
5. Conducting inspections to maximize equipment utilization.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or relevant equivalent.
• Post-trade experience in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry.
• Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs, and servicing of heavy earth-moving equipment.
• Demonstrated experience with Liebherr and CAT heavy earth-moving equipment.
