Job summary

Linder Turf & Tractor in Georgia is seeking a skilled diesel equipment technician to repair construction machines, diagnose issues, order parts, and document work in reports and warranties. The role covers shop and field service, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED, plus an Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship; technician level based on experience. A $2000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship.
• Technician classification is based on experience, knowledge, and competence.

Responsibilities

• Repairs equipment and components, development of a repair plan and sequence.
• Determining necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc.
• Performing repairs properly and safely, with proper quality assurance testing of repair component or system and machine.
• Maintains and completes all necessary reports legibly and in a timely fashion for parts ordering, special tooling usage, daily service reports, and work order closure.
• Communicates progress of repair with direct supervisor as required.
• Retrieves and returns parts and/or materials through Company’s parts ordering system.

Education
