Job summary

Titan Machinery is seeking a Case IH Diesel Mechanic in Ames, IA to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel machinery per manufacturer specifications. You will document work performed and communicate clearly with the service manager, team, and customers.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of diesel equipment experience or an Associate’s Degree in Diesel Technology, own tools, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Some travel to training facilities and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of diesel equipment experience OR an Associate’s Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related program.
• Willingness to travel to offsite training facilities as needed.
• Must have own tools.
• Keen attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
• Exceptional documentation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and recondition machine systems and components per manufacturer specs.
• Document findings, repair needs, and timelines with Service Manager, team, and customers.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain product knowledge and service capabilities; identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and department profitability.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and regulations while performing work.
