Job summary

Advanced Technology Services is seeking a technically capable technician to assist in test cell operations and data collection. You will set up tests, monitor equipment, and help engineers resolve fabrication issues while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Ideal candidates have a high school degree or technical associate degree with related experience, plus proficiency with computers and MS Office. Teamwork, reliability, and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and/or internal combustion engine exposure.
• Ability to operate PC or PDP11 controlled equipment.
• Proven ability to work with computers, including Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Associate degree with a technical focus or 18 months of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and participates in installing units or systems to be tested in fixtures.
• Sets up the tested product to proper operating conditions and collects data.
• Consults with engineering to resolve fabrication problems and review test plans.
• Examines parts for conformance and may replace defective items.
• Operates controls to apply power and run test cycles; records data.
• Supports data analysis and collaborates with engineers on conclusions.
• Participates in Continuous Improvement activities and mentoring.
