Job summary

Transdev in Sumter, SC is seeking a Technician III to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across vehicles and equipment. You will lead tests, perform PMs and safety inspections, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications required; ASE program provided.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on diesel engines.
• Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient repairs.
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
• Other duties as required.
