What Youll Do
- Diagnose and repair medium and heavy duty diesel engines and related systems
- Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds
- Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs
- Accurately document repairs and diagnostic findings
- Communicate with Parts and Service teams to ensure repairs stay on schedule
- Identify additional maintenance or safety concerns for customers
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership standards
- Stay current on OEM technical bulletins and industry best practices
- Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team when needed
What We’re Looking For
- 3 5 years of diesel diagnostic experience 10 years preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record CDL is a plus
- Cummins Engine Repair Certification Required
- Master Technician certifications in multiple areas preferred
- ASE Certifications are a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Intermediate computer skills including proficiency with email Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and the ability to learn and use dealership management and diagnostic software
- Excellent communication organizational problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements
- This position requires the ability to Lift up to 50 lbs regularly, 75 lbs frequently, and over 100 lbs occasionally with assistance or appropriate equipment
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb throughout the workday
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches and shop equipment
- Work above shoulder height and underneath vehicles using creepers or lifting equipment
- Enter and exit truck cabs and access engine compartments safely
