Caterpillar Inc. in Seguin, TX is seeking a Repair Technician III to perform repairs on Caterpillar diesel engines and lead root-cause investigations that improve product quality and process stability.
You will collaborate with the Quality Planning Department, support manufacturing engineering to improve Cpk/Ppk, and mentor junior technicians while working 1st shift with overtime as needed.

Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. The Industrial Power Systems Division has an exciting opportunity for a Repair Technician III position in our Internal Quality Index (IQI) team. As a repair technician, you will perform repairs on Caterpillar diesel engines, assist in determining a cause area, and report information to the appropriate departments. You will lead root cause investigations on diesel engine assembly quality concerns, developing and implementing long-term corrective actions that improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and process stability. You will at times perform non-routine and specialized tests on specific applications. In this role, you will be assigned to the Quality Planning Department.
