Job summary

General Dynamics in San Diego is seeking a skilled Crane Operator responsible for operating various diesel electric cranes. This position requires knowledge of mechanical and crane operation principles, as well as the ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of mechanical and crane operation principles.
• NCCCO License to operate Mobile Hydraulic Crane preferred.
• Must be able to comprehend ship nomenclature and coordinates.
• Basic knowledge of weights and conversions needed.
• Must have ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate diesel electric cranes to lift and move heavy objects.
• Conduct pre and post-job inspections.
• Perform minor crane maintenance and inspections.
• Train and mentor others in safe crane operations.
• Log data relating to lifts and inspect cranes.
