Job summary

Wilhelm Automotive, part of the Sun Auto Network, seeks an Automotive Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and repair customer vehicles per MAP guidelines, standards and safety procedures.

The position offers a compensation range of $36k-$120k depending on experience, with bi-weekly pay and a full benefits package including tuition reimbursement, paid vacation and holidays, medical/dental/vision, life insurance, a 401(k) with company match, and employee vehicle service discounts.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prefer ASE or equivalent certification or training.
• Possess current, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work Monday - Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
• Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.
