Job summary

The Systems Group in Smackover, AR is seeking an energetic Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic to handle day-to-day issues and contribute to long-term strategic goals for our nationwide operations.

The ideal candidate will supervise mechanics, service heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, diesel and gas engines, and welding machines, and maintain safety standards across the shop. A valid driver’s license and proven leadership are required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience as a general mechanic working on large diesel vehicles.
• 2–3 years of experience supervising other mechanics.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to safely drive the service truck to perform repairs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform mechanical tasks as assigned.
• Familiar with all-terrain forklifts, cranes, diesel & gas engines, and welding machines.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and operational according to company requirements
• Review shop status and vehicle repairs in process.
• Meet with supervisor to receive daily repair orders and priorities.
• Assigns repairs and tasks to employees. Performs repairs as time dictates.
• Monitor shop safety and housekeeping
• Adhere to all company work rules and policies, safety rules, and properly use all equipment.

The Systems Group is looking for an energetic individual to be our next Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic teammate. We are looking for someone to help with the day-to-day issues that pop up but to also be part of the big picture and contribute to the long-term strategy of our operations across the country.
