Job summary

Northern Dewatering, Inc. invites a Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic to join our Rogers, MN team. This full-time, non-exempt role focuses on maintenance and repair of diesel-powered pumps, generators, trucks and trailers.

Expect on-site shop work and regular site travel to service equipment in the Midwest. Applicants should have 2+ years diesel/heavy equipment repair experience or technical training, a valid CDL A/B, and the ability to pass a DOT medical card and drug tests.

Qualifications

  • Technical or Vocational training, or 2+ years in diesel/heavy equipment repair.
  • Valid Driver's License with ability to obtain a DOT medical card and CDL Class A/B.
  • Able to work independently and with others.
  • Willing to pass a drug, cannabis, and alcohol test; able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on diesel-powered pumps and generators; support trucks, trailers, and other equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel systems including engines, fuel systems, electrical and control systems, and hydraulics; assist with drivetrain, brakes, and other components on trucks and fleet equipment.
  • Quality checks on completed repairs.
  • Document in detail the work performed on repairs.
  • Assist other mechanics.
  • Maintain a clean and safe shop/working area.
  • Travel to job sites to maintain and repair diesel trucks, generators, pumps, and equipment as needed.
  • Be able to diagnose and repair equipment quickly and efficiently.

Job Title: Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic

Dewatering into one of the largest multi-faceted dewatering and bypass pumping companies in the
Midwest and beyond. Northern Dewatering is seeking a self-motivated and high-energy individual to
join our Diesel Mechanic team!

This position will be based out of our Rogers, MN headquarters and is a full-time non-exempt position.

Job Summary

Primary Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostics primarily on diesel-powered pumps and
    generators; support trucks, trailers, and other company equipment as needed

Qualifications
  • Technical or Vocational training, or a minimum 2 years of experience with diesel/heavy
    equipment repair
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain and/or maintain a DOT medical card and CDL Class A or B
    License.
  • Be able to work independently and together
  • Self-motivated to perform tasks with little or no directionAble to pass a drug, cannabis, and alcohol test
  • Experience with John Deere Service Advisor a plus
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines simultaneously while working both
    independently and with other team members with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet job requirements
  • Willingness and ability to occasionally work in an outdoor environment during all weather
    conditions
  • Detail-Oriented
  • Monday – Friday with some weekends and overtime
Physical Functional Requirements
  • Stooping and bending — also lifting while stooping and bending.
  • Crawling on hands and knees.
  • Reaching out and overhead — also lifting while reaching out and overhead.
  • Climbing stairs and ladders. Also climbing on uneven grounds and into and out of excavations.
    Also climbing on equipment.
  • Twisting at the waist and neck.
  • Balancing and carrying material and equipment.
  • Walking on even and uneven, rough ground.

experience, ranging from $30 – $45 per hour. Paid Weekly!
