Job summary

Marbach America is seeking a production employee to manufacture steel rule cutting dies from CAD designs. You will operate manual and automated equipment, read blueprints, and assemble components for the cutting die product lines.

Responsibilities include maintaining tool tolerances, performing routine maintenance logs, and collaborating with other production teams. The role requires basic metalworking skills, reading blueprints, and willingness to work shifts at our Michigan City, IN facility.

Responsibilities

• Use manual and automated equipment to manipulate materials for cutting die products.
• Read blueprints and CAD files to assemble custom tools.
• Calibrate tools to ensure tolerances.
• Assemble components from pre-cut materials.
• Maintain preventative maintenance logs for equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and use required safety equipment.
• Cross-train and support other production departments.
• Organize tasks for completion solo or with help.
• Handle confidential Marbach and customer information.
• Inform supervisor of issues affecting production.
• Work in shifts.

Manufacturing of steel rule cutting dies produced to specific CAD designs using various types of manual and automated equipment. Assembly of components relevant to the cutting die product lines.

Tasks

Responsibilities and Duties

• Ability to use various types of manual and automated equipment used to manipulate materials specific, not limited to, cutting die products.
• Ability to use calibration tools to properly ensure machine & tool tolerances.
• Assembly of proprietary products from pre-cut materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and CAD files to accurately assemble custom tools.
• Lifting and handling of wood, metal pieces and tooling.
• Maintaining equipment preventative maintenance schedule logs.
• Required to understand and use safety equipment reflective of department.
• Able to complete and fulfill paperwork required for personal time sheets in a timely manner.
• Cross-training and support of other production departments.
• Able to organize assigned tasks, for completion alone or with help.
• Treat all Marbach information and customer information in a confidential manner.
• Inform supervisor of problems or issues which affect the companies’ ability to meet customer requirements.
