Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Dielectric is hiring an experienced Production Planner for the assembly and production of our broadcast TV and FM antennas as well as RF equipment at our Raymond, Maine facility. The Senior Manufacturing Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing production scheduling, inventory management, and resource allocation to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role requires balancing customer demands with production capacity while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain master production schedules that align with business objectives and customer requirements
  2. Coordinate with sales, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely delivery of products
  3. Analyze production capacity and constraints to create realistic production plans
  4. Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials and finished goods
  5. Identify bottlenecks in production processes and recommend solutions to improve efficiency
  6. Generate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance
  7. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production planning processes
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement solutions
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation of production plans and schedules
  10. Provide training and guidance to junior planners as needed
  11. Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

  • Production Planning certification (CPIM) preferred but not required
  • 7+ years' proven experience as a Production Planner or related role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Extensive experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
  • In-depth experience with machining, fabrication, and sheet metal manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of demand forecasting techniques
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
