American Axle & Mfg., Inc. is seeking a Die Technician to support secondary production. You will change dies at coin presses, inspect tooling for wear, and maintain die life. This role requires using hand tools and measuring devices, and ensuring tooling inventory is current.
The candidate must be able to obtain certification for powered industrial trucks and be prepared to perform other duties as assigned by the Area Group Lead.
Die technician in secondary production
Change dies at coin presses when needed, slide in dies or cassettes
Check tooling when job is pulled for cracks, wear, and die life.
Replace worn shims when needed
Make sure inventory of tooling is maintained
Work on tooling when needed
Needs to be able to be certified in Powered Industrial Truck (in-house)
Use small & large hand tools
Use various measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, height gage, etc...)
Other duties & responsibilities as assigned by Area Group Lead
