Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Kansas City, MO, seeks an experienced die setter to set up and change dies on 200 to 2500 ton stamping presses. You will follow JES sheets, clamp dies, thread metal from coils, and install die protection devices.

Responsibilities include adhering to quality policy, safety requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives while working a 5:00 PM–5:00 AM shift on the X shift at our Kansas City plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Metal stamping or die setting experience preferred.
• Lockout/Tagout experience preferred.
• Press operating experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work up to 12 hours per day including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up and change dies on stamping presses per JES and setup sheets.
• Clamp dies/tools, feed guides, and guarding.
• Thread metal strip from coils through pinch rollers.
• Install die protection devices as required.
• Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping rules.
• Assist in basic inspection and problem logging.
• Support continuous improvement and non-conformity reporting.
