Job summary

Autokiniton is seeking a full-time hourly Operations Associate in Belleville, Michigan to set up dies, fixtures, or assemblies for production operators, interpret specifications, and monitor equipment for quality as part of the standards and procedures. You will perform first-run checks, verify tolerances, and inspect components, while cooperating with the Operations team under supervision.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, scales, and a Hi-Lo gauge.

Responsibilities

• Setup dies, fixtures, or assemblies assigned to production operators in accordance with MIOSHA standards and company procedures.
• Interprets specifications.
• Reports equipment failures and unusual sounds of equipment.
• Selects and sets speed and feed of machine according to type of operation and specified material and finish.
• Starts machine to obtain first run workpiece and verifies dimensional tolerances.
• Inspects components and assemblies visually for quality defects including scrap marks, rust, burrs, lamination, etc...
• Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.

POSITION

QUALIFICATIONS:

• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Basic math skills
• Ability to use Micrometers, Calipers, Scales, Hilo License

This full-time, hourly role is a part of our Operations team and reports to the Operations Supervisor and Manager.
